In multicultural organizations the development of broader work skills and deeper work-related knowledge is challenging especially in blue-collar jobs. This is often due to problems with language and understanding which limit immigrant employees’ opportunities and push them to the marginal.
According to recent results of a multimethodological study by FIOH, there is a specific need to develop deeper “workplace skills” within multicultural workplaces.
“Multiskills” -tool is a new method for facilitating communication between employees and their supervisors. It opens up opportunities for a systematic development of broader workplace skills in multicultural organizations.
